Meet the Agency Principals: 

Bill Meyer, President

Bill Meyer has over 36 years of experience in the areas of benefits design, voluntary benefits, and employee communications. He worked for 16 years at Aetna Life and Casualty as the Marketing Director of AHA sponsored programs for Michigan, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois. In that capacity, he developed and helped design benefits programs for Dennison University, Ohio State University, the University of Illinois, the Board of Regents of Illinois, and the Columbus Area County Schools, among many others. In 1991, with his vast experience and service oriented approach to back him, he created the William H. Meyer Agency, Inc.

Outside of work, Bill loves spending time with his wife, Patti, his daughters and sons-in-law, and his 2 cherished grandchildren. He also enjoys taking his kerry blue terrier, Molly, out for long walks. He is an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Jazz Arts Group, and loves arts and culture of all kinds. He also volunteers for several service organizations.

Maureen Koeninger, vice president

Maureen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the Ohio State University in 1999. Formerly a loan officer for Key Bank, she joined the William H. Meyer Agency in 2001 and brought her service-oriented, detailed focus as an asset to the business. Our clients know and respect Maureen for her quick turn-around on service issues, superior attention to detail, and ability to fight with insurance companies to secure the lowest possible rates (she often surprises us with what she manages to pull off!). 

Maureen loves spending time with her husband and her son. Maureen is an avid animal-lover and is often found rescuing dogs, cats, ducks, birds, squirrels, or other wildlife. She also is a three time cancer survivor, and is proud to support others in their journey to health. She has twice been a featured speaker on “Resiliency in the Cancer Journey” at the Cancer Support Community of Central Ohio.
